I looked all over for a twin/full bunkbed with trundle for my boys and found this one at the best price! The boys love it! My step son comes over every other weekend so the trundle was the perfect option to add space for him. It doesn't take up too much space in thier room but is quite spacious for them to sleep in.

I ordered this bunk bed for my two boys ages 7 and 5[...]The bunk bed is beautiful, the rubberwood is solid, beautiful, and finished nicely. I put it together by myself using boxes to prop open the bed frame, and got it together in about 3 hours.some of the holes were not drilled to line up perfectly, or were not drilled deep enough, so I needed to drill them out to get all the nuts to line up and fasten all the way. A minor inconvenience, but still wish it was made properly. Once installed, the bed was solid, doesnt squeak much, and looked nice (antique walnut finish) we ordered mattresses on our own, and the instructions come with recommended sizes. The slats were suprisingly solid, but according to my wife: unsightly. I'll probably go to the craft store ([...]) and staple a felt piece to the underside of the upper bunk slats to hide the slats.I'd recommend the bigger ladder that reaches the floor, the kids have troubles coming down from the smaller ladder, and jump off the bed all the time.

I love the ladder clipping into place and also being able to be screwed on. The bed is durable and my boys LOVE it!!! A few edges are rough, but we made those the bottom side of the bed. The color is fabulous too. The mattresses will work b/c my kids are so young, but they are not a great quality. Footboard came split in half and it took 2 1/2 weeks to get the replacement part... no hassle with it though.

I bought this for my daughter for her 6th birthday (had her first slumber party). [...] I will say, I didn't expect the "2 free mattresses" to be rolled up in a box, but they're not that bad. Not good for long term use, but I will be able to use hers for at least a few years. Which is fine with me. I ordered the walnut finish and couldn't be happier. Her room looks amazing and I would purchase this bed all over again.

We bought the bed as a Christmas gift for our 8 yr. old grandson. He was thrilled with it. The bed is very sturdy and well-made. It should last a long time. The maple color blends beautifully with his dresser and chest of drawers. The mattresses are better than I expected them to be. However, they are meant for children, not adults. After sleeping with my grandson on them for a couple of nights, my back was aching by morning. Not enough support for an adult body! I think we got more than our money's worth for the quality and workmanship. The ladder is very secure and stable. The only thing we added were non-skid strips. I am a ery happy grandma!!

I was really impressed with the quality of the wood and hardware used in these bunkbeds. They were easy to assemble and the directions were straight forward. We also ordered the raised panel trundle drawers and the matching dresser. We were equally happy with both those choices as well. Great value for the money and the boys love them!

The kids absolutely LOVE the bed!! I like the ability to buy matching dressers, bookshelves, etc. It appears to be very sturdy. It was fairly easy to put together. It is fairly heavy, but it's solid wood, so I expected that. We plan to buy another set identical to the one we purchased. The [...] mattresses were a definite perk!!

Besides one scratch and a small chip out of a hidden area these beds are excellent! We bought the drawers and highly recommend them. Assembly was "easy". An electric allen wrench made things go quick. With 4 kids "helping" it was a breeze. The latte color is beautiful. We almost bought the espresso but it would have been too dark. The mattresses are comfy and firm.

wonderful, sturdy, great ladder, beautiful! it does scratch easily....we moved the ladder from one end to the other when installing it and it left a huge mark just from being placed for a few minutes. It is great though! well worth the money!!!

The bunk bed is beautiful,it is sturdy and is made of heavy wood. The ladder is very sturdy and easy to climb. The drawers underneath are on rollers, but they slide on the ground and slide around a bit...they are not great, but it will be useful to have the extra storage space. My young boys will be opening/slamming the drawers, so I guess it is fine...they seem as though they will stand up to some abuse! Some reviews had bad reviews concerning the mattresses, but we are satisfied with them, for at least now :). We bought a nice down mattress pad and a waterproof pad to cover the mattress. Any sort of "smell" is not obvious and my 40lb son sleeps on it just fine! Mom & Dad's bed is a bit better :)

The beds were okay, nothing spectacular, but were fine, no complaints. Kids seem to love it. I would purchase again,perhaps not from Mercantila, but the price is what had me at the start. I had a horrible time with Mercantila processing payment for me..none of which was my error. It took almost a month for me to receive the beds. The mattresses that came with the bed are lower quality mattresses but they really aren't that bad at all, especially for younger children (under teenage age) otherwise u may need to replace the mattresses after a year or so. I think it was a decent bargain, although I really think that it may have been overpriced just a bit, the bed it made in Vietnam. I ordered the antique walnut, it looks nice, although one of the wood pegs were broke off, a gouge in the wood in two spots, and one longer scratch. We tried to fix that the best we could, as I did not want to deal with Mercantila again and have to pay for shipping it back for repair or replacement...if they would even do that. Overall, bed was nice if it hadn't been damaged, but u may have better luck than we did. I guess when it comes down to it, you have to do what u can afford.

This bed was fantastic. Its a great space saver, has plenty of space and great for a growing child or pre teen. My only grip is that the top bunk is only secured by 4 little mettle post, there are no brakes or screws and if the kids get a little rowdy up there the bed wiggles and it freaks me out. Aside from that we all love it. I got the trundle which has been well welcomed by my kids friends.

We received this bunk bed as a gift from my father. My boys love to play on the top bunk. We received the two free mattresses. We added mattress pads and mattress toppers and they are quite comfortable!

The bunkbeds were bought for our daughter. So far, as it was just delivered and set up today, she and her younger brother LOVE it!! The color is awesome as our house is victorian and the beds match well. I LOVE that it's solid wood!!! For the price, we got an awesome deal and I plan to buy another set for our son. It will also make for great extra beds for company. There's a small scratch on the ladder and a small tear in the twin mattress, but nothing we can't deal with. So far, we love it and plan to buy the matching dressers, etc.

Love this bed! my husband loves to work with wood as a hobby and has built many cabinets, book shelves and fixtures over the years...even he was impressed with this beds stability and strength. But do NOT buy it intending to use the FREE mattresses that come with this bed. They are worthless (one step up from sleeping on the floor. The mattresses come rolled up like a jelly-roll and are filled with cotton fibers and mulch-like pieces of wood. The smell of wood in the mattresses were so strong we immediately put them in the dumpster and bought two standard mattresses from a local store. We also purchased the dresser to match. Do NOT make the same mistake we did...skip the dresser and accessories. For the price you pay for the dresser, you could get a much more solid piece of furniture locally. The dresser drawers are paper thin and very flimsy. The size is good for a child up to a pre-teen, but not nearly big enough for a teenager. This dresser will not last. I would recommend only the bunk-bed without the mattresses and accessories.

Also, we had a warehouse mispick sending us an extra ladder and forgetting to send us the upper bunk slat kit. Mercantila resolved this issue within a 2 week period and we were very satisfied with the way they handled this problem. We would definitely buy from them again,

The finnish is very nice, aside from one spot that had obviously been filled and stained over poorly. The only other complaint is that the holes where the top bunk is supposed to fit onto the bottom bunk didn't match up. The mattresses would've worked just fine for young kids if I could've handled the strong smell. I gave them away the next day, so they made someone happy. The bed is very sturdy and looks beautiful! My son absolutely adores it, and I love that the guard rail goes all the way accross the top bunk (except where the ladder goes).

I think that the product is a good investment and my son seems to really like them. We decided on the dark wood, and the only problem that I have with it is that it came with some scratches in the wood that are pretty visible. Overall though, the product is great and we are happy with it.

it was easy to put together, but i put the bottom together first than i added the top one part at a time so when done i did not have to lift it. So far the kids like it and get give them a place to watch thier TV

Our house is small and this is enabling us to put both kids in the same room. My Daughter loves the top bunk -- but so does my 16 month son... So we always remove the ladder when the kids get up in the morning so we don't have to spend the day in the bedroom.

This bed looks great set up. We chose the darker walnut color and it really looks rich and beautiful. We have received quite a few compliments. The set up was slightly difficult considering we were missing some essential screws, but luckily my husband is handy and was able to compensate with other compatible screws.The mattesses are fine for small kids, but are on the cheaper side. Overall, we are very happy with this bed and bookshelf.

These beds are in my son's room. They look great, but what I like best is the construction: they are definitely well constructed, and obviously safe for children. I feel very secure in knowing that my son will be fine on the top bunk.

I put the beds together by myself...but I did listen to the advice of one of the previous buyers and I built the top bunk onto the bottom instead of trying to lift the finished bed onto the bottom. The process took several hours, but the directions were great...all parts were present...the craftsmanship of the wood was excellent.

My son was so thrilled with the results, he couldn't stop staring at them.

Bed looks great and seems quite sturdy. I was able to assemble the whole thing myself. (the trick is to assemble the full first and then assemble the twin on top so you don't have to lift the whole thing up.)
There are some extra holes in the top of the full head and foot boards. I assumed there should be pegs/plugs for these, but none are shipped with the bed.
I am a bit disappointed that the drawers are less than half the depth of the full bed, but I guess this is necessary for stability.

The only issue we had when putting it together is that one of the barrel nut holes wasn't drilled deep enough. It also needs plugs for the unused holes on the top of the headboard.

I would recommend this twin over full bunk bed if you are having an issue with space. Perfect for younger children. Very durable, although I recommend assembling the top bunk on top of the full instead of lifting it up on top of the full bunk after assembly, much easier. Great investment!

I am using this bed in my daughter's room (eight years old)[...]As far as the bed it is very well made and very simple to put together. We ordered the bed with the two drawers on the bottom and very glad we did. The drawer's defiantly come in handy because they hold just about anything. Not only do they hold alot they look great. The free mattresses that come with the bed are great, they could be a little softer but a memory foam mattress pad can fix that. Very impressed with the bed, I would recommend it to anyone.

I use these bunk beds for my kids bed. They love it. They are sturdy and beautiful they really make the room. The mattresses are comfortable and quiet. I have yet to find anything wrong with them.

this is the perfect bunk bed for my childs room. it is attractive, sturdy, functional and smallest dimension of any wood full/twim bunk on the market. the only drawback is the mattresses, although comfortable, they have a strong odor that hasn't subsided in a week now. But the bunk bed is fabulous!
